Cons: definitely not good for a diet!
The Bottom Line: If you're a Hershey's Kiss fan and like white chocolate, you definitely need a HUG.

I’m a bit of a chocoholic. I’m cutting back on my other vice, Diet Coke, for the New Year, but I cannot give up my chocolate. Besides Macy’s Frango mints, which get pricey, I typically enjoy Hershey’s Hugs the most.
Hugs came to be in the early 90’s, distinguishable in packaging from the familiar Hershey’s Kisses by the brown stripes on the silver foil. The candies are the same small triangle of milk chocolate, but they have been “hugged” by a thin layer of white chocolate with milk chocolate swirls. I usually purchase mine in a 12 oz bag (somewhere around 70 pieces) for about $3.
HUGS still taste of milk chocolate because that is their center. But they also have the sweet vanilla-like flavor of white chocolate. It's a nice mix for your taste buds, especially if you are a white chocolate lover. I prefer these to regular Kisses because they don't leave the sometimes overpowering chocolaty taste in my mouth. They do melt easily, both in your mouth and in your hand. I found that HUGS were a stylish hit on my peanut butter kiss cookies this past Christmas as well.
One serving of Hugs is comprised of 9 pieces. For that, you get 210 calories, 12g of fat (7 saturated), 10mg of cholesterol, 45mg of sodium, 23g carbs, 21g sugar, 3g of protein and an insatiable craving for more. Bad for your hips, but great for your spirits!
HUGS ingredients include: White Chocolate (Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Nonfat Milk, Lactose, Reduced Minerals Whey, Milk Fat, Soy Lecithin and PGPR, Emulsifiers, Vanillin, Artificial Flavor, and Tocopherols to Preserve Freshness), and Milk Chocolate (Sugar, Milk, Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Lactose, Milk Fat, Soy Lecithin and PGPR, Emulsifiers, and Vanillin, Artificial Flavor).
