| angel83099's Full Review: Honey Books |
Honey is the fourth installment in "V.C. Andrews" new series, Shooting Stars. Like its proceders, Honey is about a young talent girl, Honey Foreman.
Honey is musically inclined, a budding violinist, whose family is a group of hard-working farmers. Through her music, she meets a young man, Chandler Maxwell, who in turns becomes very special to her.
Her music teacher helps her turn her musical interest into becoming a life-long career change. All seems to be wonderful and happy for Honey, all except Grandad Foreman and his Bible clutching ways.
For those who are not aware of V.C. Andrews' other works, like Flowers in the Attic or Heaven, her books are mainly about a young heroine trying to cope with hardships. Shooting Stars is most comparable with the Runaways' series and the Orphans' series. Both are about four young girls that are also inclined with overwhelming talent, thrown together by means that some have no control over. Like the rest of her works, Religion play a main part.
In my opinion, Honey was very good, well written. And it is not as confusing as Cinnamon and/or Rose. I can't wait until the conclusion of the series, "Shooting Stars" to see what envolves next.
