This is by far the best bibliography I have ever read. I am not a big reader, but this book made me go on and read the whole 398 pages of it. Most bibliography’s I read are too difficult to follow and are boring, but this book is different. It is very easy to follow and talks about one of the most popular movie stars right now. It talks about his childhood all the way through how he became such a successful movie star.
This book was interesting and used good description. “ It was usually dark in that corridor, except when meals were being served, so it might be easier to find your way around by smell and sound than by sight.” This is a good example of the big house that he lived in as a child along with his parents. This book also used a lot of metaphors, which helped me get a better picture of what was happening.
Since this book was published in 1998, it talked about everything all the way up to his latest movies such as “Rush Hour.” This book also had a few pictures of Jackie Chan himself along with his family. At the end it listed some of the injuries that he had as an actor which was just about every body part. It also listed every movie that he has been in, which is well over 50.
What makes Jackie Chan so special is that he does all of his own stunts, which explains why he has had so many injuries. Through reading this book I found out that he was an energetic child and had a very difficult childhood. I also learned that he is a very funny and nice person.
I liked the way the book used good language. Instead of using big words that a reader could have trouble understanding it used small and easy words. In my mind it is a book for all ages above 13. Its ease to understand and read made it more interesting for me to follow and read.
I have always been a fan of Jackie Chan and still am. His book was as fun to read as his movies. I would recommend this book to anyone that like Jackie Chan and wants to learn about him. If you are not a fan of Jackie Chan then this book won’t be as interesting to you. In my mined if you like him or his movies at all and just want to read a good book then read this book. On a scale of one to ten I give this book a high 9. It is near perfect, but for a person that isn’t a fan of Jackie Chan probably won’t like it as much as someone as interested in him as me.
