If There Be Thorns is the third novel in the Dollanger Series. This book is switched out being narrated by both Jory and Bart, Cathy's young sons. It lets the boys tell the story from their point of view. You feel what they are feeling, and how they deal with the stuff. You are with them when they find out that their step-father is really their mother's brother. You get to see the mental stabiltly seep from Bart and the happiness of the family slip away.
THe book is kinda confusing sometimes, because when Bart tells his part, it is hard to follow sometimes, but it is still interesting to read a book narrated by two children.
