| tothebeat's Full Review: JBL SCS150SI Speaker System |
I purchased the JBL SCS 150SI in Jan. 2003. I have a 53" HDTV so I just needed the sound to go with it. Wow! This system blew my mind. I was so happy that I spent a few extra dollars instead of settling for something less. I got it at Best Buy and the sales associate told me it was the best system they had. I almost went for the BOSE 321 - but I'm happy I didn't. The sound from this JBL product is very clear and the bass has great range and able to hit deep bass w/o distortion. For movies, it's better than going to the theater! Action movies especially. Also great for watching sports. What I would recommend is purchasing an optical cable for your DVD player to your receiver - it's well worth it and will optimize your surround sound with precise detail. You will hear sounds coming from all over the place. It's cool.
The only con is I can only play this system at half of what it's capable of b/c my upstairs neighbors feel the vibration.
