Pros: Soft, unbleached, undyed, two different textures, inexpensive, can be used inside diapers as a doubler
Cons: Some baby washcloths work just as well for a cheaper price. No color variety.
The Bottom Line: I recommend these wipes for their ease of use, softness, durability and environmental friendliness. Baby washcloths can work just as well if you are concerned about price.

My journey into the world of cloth diapers and their accessories (wipes, fasteners, inserts) began well before I became pregnant. I read an article in Mothering magazine almost ten years ago on the benefits of using cloth diapers and decided then that I would use them when I had kids.
I became a mom on July 14, 2006 when my son, David, was born. I did a lot of research on cloth diapers and their accessories when I was pregnant. Little did I know how addictive it would become. It was during this time that I ordered Kissaluvs Deluxe Terry Wipes.
Our reasons for using cloth
My husband and I are what some people label as "crunchy" or "granola." We prefer to use natural methods in our daily lives. From cleaning products to medicine to what covers our son's little tush, we take the environmental impact of each product into consideration. We prefer to use cloth diapers and wipes because we don't want to add to the millions of pounds of disposable diapers in landfills today. We also want to save trees so we limit our use of paper products. We also believe it's healthier to use natural products most of the time.
The Wipes
I had used disposable wipes in the beginning. Someone gave me a container of Huggies Wipes for my baby shower. I used them in the first couple of weeks for the convenience factor. I admit feeling guilty about it. They worked okay, but I found I would have to use more than one wipe during one of my son's blow-out poops. Also, they would fold up on me when I was wiping his bum and my hands would get messy. I also didn't like the soapy residue that was left behind on his behind.
I ordered Kissaluvs Deluxe Terry Wipes from Abby's Lane (www.abbyslane.com). They cost $1.00 dollar each and I ordered two. I have ordered diapers from Kissaluvs prior to these wipes. I have been very satisfied with their diapers so I was confident that I would like their wipes.
The dirt
Kissaluvs Deluxe Terry Wipes are made of knit terrycloth. The wipes are soft to the touch. They have a slight stretch to them. They are an off-white color as they are not bleached or dyed. I do prefer to have undyed products against my little baby's bottom, because dye can cause irritation. I know some cloth diapering mama's are very into have cutesy wipes in all sorts of patterns and colors. That is fine, but if designs and colors are important to you than Kissaluvs Deluxe Terry Wipes are not for you. They do not come in any other color. They are 1 ply, with one side smoother than the other. The smoother side has a woven pattern and it has some texture to it. The other side has terry loops which you're probably familiar with in standard washcloths and bath towels. The wipes are 8 inches by 8 inches, which is smaller than a standard washcloth. They are also slightly thinner than regular washcloths. However, they are thicker than some baby washcloths.
The performance
These work very well in cleaning up David's cute little behind. The "looped" side is great for cleaning off the very large amounts of poop he likes to bless me with. It also great for poop that's caked on. The other side is good for smaller messes and to go over what you clean with the looped side. I either use plain old water or my wipes solution. My wipes solution is water with just a drop of California Naturals Super Sensitive Baby Wash and a drop of Tea Tree Oil. Remember that container of Huggies Wipes? I now use the container to hold my cloth wipes. I carry them in a little waterproof bag in my purse. I take two along with me when we go out. I haven't needed more. Since they are soft, they are gentle on David's bum. I haven't needed to use more than one at each diaper changing.
They are sturdy. They have been through countless loads of laundry and hand-washings and still look new. I rinse them out before I put them in the diaper pail so stains don't sit in. I wash them, along with my diapers, on a normal cycle with cold water and Arm and Hammer Perfume and Dye free detergent. I dry them on medium or high heat. Sometimes, I line dry them on my little rack in our apartment. That can leave them a little stiff, though. There are various opinions about the best way to wash cloth diapers and wipes. This is what works best for me with my communal washer and dryer in our apartment unit.
Other uses
These can be used as a regular old washcloth. They are soft enough for a baby's delicate skin. I only used them in this manner once, when they were new and before I used them on his tush. I keep cloths for butt and cloths for body separate.
They can also be used as an extra inside your cloth diaper. I find that they absorb well, though not as well as a regular multi-ply liner. They are good for adding a boost to your diaper. I've used them in a pinch and they have worked well. I just fold them in half and lay them in the diaper. Again, their softness is good for baby's delicate skin and David hasn't had any problems with rashes when I've used them as liners in his diapers.
Can't you just use a plain old washcloth?
Of course! This is my issue with the Kissaluvs Deluxe Terry Wipes. While they work very well and I like them, I do not find them to be a "must have." I don't usually use regular washcloths because they are bigger and that can actually hinder you when you're wiping a wiggly baby's bottom. The regular washcloths tend to flop around and bunch up more. I prefer to use baby washcloths. They are just as soft and have the same smooth texture side and terry side. I use both Gerber and Carter's washcloths. Carter's washcloths are thicker and sturdier than Gerber. Both have worked well, but I prefer Carter's.
I'm also cheap. I can't justify spending $1.00 per cloth when I can get an 8-pack of baby washcloths that work just as well for around $4.00 bucks. Still, it's nice that have two.
Where do I find them? How much?
You can find these on just about any cloth diaper site that sells Kissaluvs products. I bought mine from Abbyslane.com for $1.00 per cloth. This is the cheapest price I've found so far. You can sometimes find them in varying condition on eBay. Other sites that sell them:
www.thanksmama.com
www.wholefamilymarket.com
www.kissaluvs.com
Conclusion
I like Kissaluvs Deluxe Terry Wipes overall. They are great to have, but they're not a must have for me since I like baby washcloths just as well. I like the two that I have, and I would definitely recommend them if money is not an issue to you.
