| ggrimes1221's Full Review: LEGO - Classic Set With Building Table |
I can't tell you how many pieces of Legos are in various places in my house, but I have found them just about everywhere! The LEGO Classic set with Building Table is the only way to start your collection. It comes with 203 pieces, two base plates for building, and two storage compartments. The two base plates can slide together to make a larger building space for your little architect.
The basic set also has a handle for easy carrying and comes complete with regular Lego pieces, animal faces, wheels,
doors, and more. Enough to keep the young enthusiast busy building away for hours. Kit comes with a colorful booklet of building designs, but my little lego maniac prefers to create his own designs, which usually looks more like planes, cars, ships, or rockets. He now has numerous add on sets to the basic classic set. The Classic base containers will hold several hundred pieces each, so that when additional sets are acquired, they can still use the classic building base for play area and storage.
I don't advise this product for children under 4 unless closely supervised as there are quite a few tiny pieces that could be harmful if swallowed. Now I don't know why this happens but let me tell you first hand it does. A small child loves to put things in open orifices such as ears or nostrils, so until they get over that exploration stage to place small objects in obscure places, I would not purchase any Lego products for a child under 4. There are mega blocks out there that resemble Legos to entertain the wee ones and get them started in creative building play until they are ready to step up to the world of Legos.
Eventually the enthusiast will graduate to the more complicated sets, which include moving parts, flashing lights, and sound. Unfortunately at complicated prices as well as the added enticing features. But if you have a youngster just starting out, don't miss the Classic Lego Building set with building Table.
