Pros: Large Belt Area, Smooth motor, excellent parts warranty My Size 16 feet are easily accommodated.
Cons: Defaults to 0.5mph when "Paused". housing easily scratched, shaky reading shelf, no graphics display
The Bottom Line: A well designed and well built treadmill but.. the reading shelf isn't very useful and I question whether paying a premium for the "Lifetime" parts only warranty is worth it.

| jgoldenboy's Full Review: Landice L7 |
After months of shopping, I narrowed down my treadmill search to two: the True and the Landice. The "Lifetime Warranty" and the "Reading Shelf" made me chose the Landice over the True. However, the warranty covers parts but not labor after a short period of time and the labor charge would be comparable to the cost of an extended warranty for other brands. As for the reading shelf, it was wishful thinking that I could read while using a treadmill. The shelf shakes (slightly but annoyingly) during even moderately aggressive walking, (3.5mph with a 3percent incline) that it is impossible to read. N.B. the water bottle holder also shakes and I would think that those who use this treadmill for running or aggressive jogging would likely send the water bottle falling onto the floor. On the plus side, it is quiet, smooth, and dependable, and the four preset programs have met my needs. Also, the belt is able to accommodate my size 16 feet. I do have a few gripes however. One is that if you hit the "Pause" key, at anytime except during one of the Programs, the unit returns to the default 0.5mph speed when you begin again. Another gripe is that some things are highly unintuitive with this unit. For instance, changing the time of the preset programs requires hitting the Display key. Programming the two user programs is also somewhat confusing mostly because of a lack of a graphical display to clearly show the progress through the intervals. The Cardio Trainer and Executive Trainer models have a graphical display that makes programming the user programs easier. Another disadvantage is that you cannot manually display the interval that you are in while exercising during one of the programs until the program is about to change intervals. I've also learned that the motor cover is prone to scratches when my TV remote slid off the shelf, hit the cover, and slid downward resulting in a permanent marring of the motor cover finish (in black). Aside from this, it's a wonderful treadmill with solid construction, a VERY smooth motor interface, and a LARGE belt area.I chose this model over the True for 2 reasons. 1. The Lifetime warranty and 2. The reading shelf (which the True completely lacked). However, as I've stated, I have found the reading shelf to be practically useless even for brisk walking.
