PattyTherre's Full Review: Lavoris whitening rinse whitens and brightens teet...
I am a heavy tea and diet soda drinker and that takes a toll on my teeth. I am always looking for products that help whiten my teeth and remove stains. I came across Lavoris Whitening Rinse at a discount store and bought it not even really knowing what it was,
This is a pre-brushing rinse that protects tooth enamel and whitens teeth. And it works!
About the Product
This product contains peroxide to remove stains as well as xylitol to strengthen tooth enamel. It has a minty flavor and is to be swished around in the mouth once or twice a day before brushing for 60 seconds.
Packaging
Lavoris Whitening Rinse comes in a very simple white plastic one liter bottle. The white top is removed by squeezing two points on the it and screwing it off. The top can then be used as a cup to pour the rinse into. The rinse is clear and smells (and tastes) minty.
My Experience
I used a pre-brush whitening rinse before which I liked and I was eager to see how this one compared.
Usage is simple. Pour a half of a capful out and rinse for 60 seconds before brushing teeth. You should swish vigorously and not swallow the rinse. Spit it out and brush teeth. The liquid is fresh and invigorating and I don't feel any burning or have an issues with the peroxide. I do see some slight foaming between my teeth and on my gums after spitting the product out. I have a few sensitive teeth where the gums have receded a bit bit this product does not cause any pain.
I brush my teeth right after rinsing and they look great. Lavoris Whitening Rinse loosens stains with its peroxide based formula and I am able to brush away surface stains like the ones that my daily iced tea habit form. My teeth look noticeably whiter when I use this product and, to prove it, I went to the dentist's today (for a filling) and he said my teeth looked much lighter in color than six months ago and to keep up what I was doing. He knows I long for super white teeth and will have my teeth bleached at some point. Until then, I can at least maintain the level of whiteness I have when use Lavoris Whitening Rinse along with a good whitening toothpaste.
Buying Info
I paid just a couple of bucks for the liter of rinse. I found it at a local outlet store called Ollie's. I assume this product is available at drugstores and mass-market stores as well as online at sites that sell such things. I hope I find it again locally because it works better than the previous rinse I used by a long shot. It's not more than $4.00 when I did some searching on the net for it.
Conclusion
Not only does Lavoris Whitening Rinse make my teeth noticeably whiter, it is proven to protect and strengthen tooth enamel and the teeth themselves. My dentist confirmed that xylitol does help to strengthen tooth enamel. I assume most whitening rinses of this type contain very similar ingredients but, for the price, the results are excellent for me. I give this 5 stars. It helps this tea and diet cola drinker's teeth to look brighter and whiter and that's all I can ask from a rinse of this type. Helping to strengthen the enamel on my teeth is a huge plus.
