I bought this for my 3 year old for his birthday and he loves it! Although he seems to forget he needs to touch the green 'go' button on each page, he can still get much learning out of this toy. It teaches numbers, letters, and more depending on the book you get with it. I believe it comes with a standard book with colors, numbers, and letters, then you flip the book and there's a story with games in it.
All pages have lessons and games for the child to play.
It takes AA batteries, and the volume is on the pages where you have "-" and " ". The one thing I've learned as a mommy is to find the volume control!
Its compact size is great for travel as well, although it does slip a bit. This can be solved with gluing non-skid pads on the bottom of it.
I find it doesn't have enough books, not like the big Leap Pad series, but I believe the company is planning on making more.
Otherwise, this is a terrific little learning toy, great for sharing with mommy's and daddy's who want to teach their kids, or even just for single play for the child. (Once they get the hang of it)
Great toy!
