Don't be Left Behind on reading this series...

Pros: Eight books already written in series. Realistic, captivating, mind-numbing, and doesn't read like a Bible.
Cons: Waiting for the next in the series, due this summer, is torture...
The Bottom Line: Every day we face certain realities and certain individuals, but what if one day, those realities and individuals disappeared?? Ones own perception of life changes after reading this book.

Actually, I started watching the video based of this book and was totally captivated. For those who don't know, it is currently released on the big screen and can also be purchased in most major video stores.
My husband soon came in to see what had me so quiet in the other room, then other family members joined us. We watched the entire program without moving or speaking. When the show was done, we were told that the movie was based on a book.
We asked about the book and were given the six of the series to read. (We later purchased the other two when we were done with the first six.) It took about two months with fairly active lifestyles to read the entire eight books of the series. Other family members have also read them. We are hooked.
The story is based upon the book of Revelations in the Bible. The Second Coming occurs and the book deals with those left behind. Hence, the title of the book. The books read easily and realistically. You can easily see the world behaving the way it is described in the book and can easily imagine the horrors of behind left behind.
The books do have several direct passages from the Bible in them but don't read like a Bible at all, but as a best-selling novel.
This book should be read by absolutely everyone around the world. It makes one ponder ones own existence and the reality of a higher being. It does not have difficult language to understand and is appropriate for young adults as well.
