| daddypop's Full Review: Mildred D. Taylor - Let the Circle Be Unbroken |
Let the Circle Be Unbroken is a very well written and powerful book. This book shows the awful fate of a black family in Mississippi in the nineteen-thirties. While the Logan family is a lot better off than a lot of families, they still suffer a lot. With racism still around, the family has basically no opportunity. Left with four- hundred acres of land from Mr. Logan’s father, the family farms. Fortunately, they are not forced to sharecrop like almost all black families. When white people betray the four kids’ friend, the kids find out what the harsh reality of life is. TJ gets sent off to prison and is on the death row. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who likes dramatic books.
