Pros: small, quiet, perfect prints, great price
Cons: expensive ink (but so is every other brand)
The Bottom Line: More bang for your buck! Inexpensive but prints like a pro. It's really the best printer I've had so far.

| candylee's Full Review: Lexmark Jet Z35 InkJet Printer |
I used to have a Canon printer. At the same time I was working at Costco as the Lexmark "store expert". This means I went to a training sessions and had to learn the ins and outs of the Lexmark printer and its competition.
By the end of the promotion, I liked Lexmark so much that I had to get myself one, and 9 out of 10 people I spoke to also got one.
It breaks down like this:
Price-
You can't beat it. The z35 runs about $60
Although you may have to pay extra to get a cable. Mine came with one included, but some don't.
Print Quality-
Excellent, and you don't have to purchase special "photo ink" to get photo quality prints. Some people have trouble here, because they don't understand resolution and the fact that if you try to print a picture scanned at 72 dpi, it will still look bad on the most expensive machine. So side note- most color photos print best when scanned at 300 dpi
Paper-
I have never had a paper jam! It does pull the paper in at a slightly odd angle, but it always prints perfectly straight, so that's the important part. It takes in one sheet at a time and has not doubled up on me. I like that the paper feeder area has a lid so it can be closed when not in use. It keeps dust and other junk from falling into the printer.
Speed-
Very fast and smooth, very quiet!
Ink-
About the ink- many people think the ink runs out way too fast. This is because you start off with a "starter" ink cartridge which is only about half as full as a regular cartridge. This is a standard practice. So when you get the printer, it is a good idea to get some extra ink.
The ink is expensive, (they all are) but Lexmark has a reason- with each ink purchase you get a new print head, which keeps your printer in new condition. It's like getting a fresh printer every time you change ink.
You can get it at a pretty good price from the Lexmark website, where it runs $28.99 for color and $31.99 for black. Or you can do like I do, and just get them off Ebay for around $20. I always get factory originals, but they have remanufactured ones for even cheaper.
Lexmark is actually made in a way that conserves your ink. It does not waste ink by needing to realign print heads and that sort of thing.
Lexmark also has a nifty little pop-up window to show your ink levels, so you know how much you have.
As far as installation and usage, it was all a breeze!
