Pros: poop practically falls off of cage bars, comes with convenient scrub-brush head
Cons: you have to find a pet store that stocks it, expensive (but totally worth it!)
The Bottom Line: This is an amazing product that will completely change the way to clean your bird's cage. I will have a bottle of Poop-Off for as long as they make it!

| njchicaa's Full Review: Life's Great Poopoff Bird Poop Remover |
I love my bird. Seriously. I am in love with my bird. She makes a mess, a lot of noise, and a lot of poop but it's totally worth it for all of the happiness and entertainment that she brings to my days.
Cleaning her cage is always a chore. I wipe it out daily or every other day when I'm super-busy. I use non-toxic cleaners like Simple Green or Grapefruit Seed Extract/water solution. I have to spray, spray, spray, let it soak, wipe, spray, spray, spray, let it soak again, wipe, spray spray, spray, let it soak, wipe, and then give up on stubborn dried bird poop. I actually break out into a sweat from the effort that it takes to thoroughly clean her cage.
While shopping at PetCo last week I finally decided to bite the bullet and try Poop-off Bird Poop Remover. Surely there had to be an easier way!
Product Description
From company website: Poop-Off ® is the number one recommended bird dropping remover in the world. Three years to formulate and three years of testing were needed to guarantee a safe product around all avian species. The product is so safe it is used by the world famous San Diego Zoo, respected avian breeders and bird lovers. Poop-Off ® contains no-contents that have been found to be dangerous to birds such as chemicals, solvents, orange oil, detergent, citrus fragrances, alcohol or bleach. Safe to use with the bird inside the cage. Non-Toxic & Bio-Degradable.
We recommend you use the 16 oz bottle with brush to apply Poop-Off liquid. The custom made brush when used on perches, cages, carpet, walls, furniture and clothing will instantly dissolve bird poop and associated stains. Removes bird droppings from all types of bird diets. Without the Poop-Off brush the liquid is safe for use on painted surfaces. Refill the 16 oz brush bottle from larger sized quarts and gallons.
Control flow brush head assures even application and reduces product usage. Our very pleasant product fragrance has been tested to be safe around all breeds of birds and helps to control cage smells. Pre-spray clothing before wash to remove even the toughest stains. This product really works! This is not a marine bird poop cleaner. Use Poop-Off All Marine Poop Remover for boating use.
Packaging
I bought my Poop-Off in a 16 ounce bottle that came with a cleaning brush head. The plastic is thin, soft, and very flexible so you can get all product out of this package.
The product is also sold in the following sizes: 32 oz, 128 oz, and 55 gallons. (yes you read that correctly)
Ingredients
The packaging doesn't give much helpful information about what is inside the bottle.
The bottle lists: water, active enzymes, surfactant, and fragrance. Yup, that's it.
Cost and Availability
I found my bottle of Poop-Off at the local PetCo for about $9.00. It is sold in most pet supply stores and on many internet websites.
Does It Work?
Crikey! Does it ever!!! I was astounded at how easily dried bird poop fell off of the cage bars after squirting Poop-Off on stains just a few seconds earlier. The brush-head is very convenient and effective in removing dried poop. I used to spend at least 30 minutes scrubbing, rubbing, cursing, and scrubbing again at dried stains on the bars of the bird cage. Poop-Off turned my labor-intensive cleaning project into a 5 minute easy activity. I can't believe how easy it can be to clean a cage and how much time, effort, and sweat I wasted before I tried Poop-Off. I will never be without this product again!
