Upon receiving this toy as a gift for Christmas, my then 5 mo old went nuts! It was like someone had already told her how to play with it. She started batting at these totally dimensional animals. A dog, a cat, a rabbit and a duck. Babies can grab them, bump them, bite them or even lay on them, and they immediately start playing a song or make the sounds applicable to them.
The dog barks, the cat meows, the duck goes quack quack and the rabbit...well the rabbit is the best of all...it goes "doying doying" like it is bouncing. Right now my daughter just smacks at all the buttons, as she does not know better. But, I am sure once she gets older she will start learning what this toy tries to teach.
Like all V-tech toys, it says 1,2,3 and 4...and also says A,B,C,D and E. The songs seem endless, but it only plays a few bars of many different songs like Row, Row, Row Your Boat and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. Simple and traditional.
It also has a little roller ball, like a mouse, but I haven't quite figured out what it is for yet. It seems to have something to do with the songs...but the function escapes me.
Great little toy all the way around. Every kid who comes to my house from age 1-7 picks it up immediately to play with it.
