Pros: Comfortable, stylish, cordless
Cons: Not as smooth as I had expected an optical mouse to be. Uses many batteries.
The Bottom Line: I do like the mouse, though I'm not sure I'd get an optical if I were paying for it, due to the price. The cordless aspect is great.

| sgfrank's Full Review: Logitech Man Dual Optical (930676-0403) Mouse |
I received this mouse as a gift, and then installed it on my Dell. Installation was simple and problem free.
The movement was fairly smooth, yet occasionally the mouse seemed to 'jump'. I wondered if this was my mousepad (it had a bit of a design on it, I'm not sure if that affects performance, but Logitech recommends a solid matte surface), so I switched to a solid surface, but I still see the occasional jump. I now think it may be due to my lifting the mouse slightly off the surface, and confusing it.
Along those lines, I was used to picking my old mouse up, either to move it to a new spot, or just to pick it up (some weird habit?), but with the optical mouse, the cursor can move around quite a bit every time the mouse lifts off.
Those problems, however, are negligible, and don't bother me too often. Battery usage, on the other hand, is quite a nuisance. It seems to use a set of AAs every 1 1/2 months, or so (I haven't kept track), which seems quite high to me. You may want to consider rechargeable batteries.
The software does alert you when the batteries are getting low, however.
For me, the best part of this mouse, bar none, is the cordlessness. If that's what you are looking for in a mouse, you may want to skip the optical (and high price) and just get a regular cordless mouse.
Also, and a bit of a non-point, but I found the side button absolutely useless, and disabled it. Your mileage may vary, of course.
Overall, I enjoy this mouse, as the tracking is quite a bit better than my old, balled mouse.
