Pros: Width of seats, height of sunshade for my tall girl, and the infant readiness capability.
Cons: No parent tray, no infant seat compatibility, a little stiff at first to use.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this product because it accommodates an infant and a large toddler, must be compact enough not to give me headaches when I use it for my children.

| cavoe's Full Review: Maclaren Twin Traveller - Carbon/Crimson Umbrella ... |
I researched double strollers for months. I have a large toddler (two and a half year old who is 36 pounds and very tall) and I am having a second baby in a couple of months. I needed a stroller that will accommodate an infant and a large toddler. I thought that a Graco Duo Glider would work great with the tandem seating and the infant carrier in it to boot. But, then I folded it up one day and thought oh my.. How am I ever going to live again? It was so big and bulky that I even had bad dreams about it.
I continued to research and decided that the tandems were just to much and I had never considered the side by sides due to their 'wide-ness'. Well, someone showed me the Aria, which was lightweight and nice. I thought that I had the answer to my problem. When I put my toddler in it, she consumed the stroller. She looked like a shrimp baby all hunched over and uncomfortable. Plus, the Aria was not made for infants specifically. That is when I decided to continue to look at side by sides. The Combi side by side was to narrow, just like the Aria. At this point, I knew the price tag on this stroller was going up, but I am an active woman who likes to be on the go.
I looked at the Maclarens on the Internet. The Babies R Us carried Maclarens, but not the Twin Traveler. From everything that I had read, it was going to accommodate all my specs. It was wide enough for my daughter to be comfortable and it was made that infants can go in comfortable. The stroller even comes with a round head and neck support pillow in the coordinating color. I finally found someone who sells them in another city and I drove an hour to go and look at it. I was pretty sure I was going to buy it. I just wanted to see it first.
I put my toddler in it and she fit well. I am not going to say that she has all the room in the world, but she is a tall girl and she is comfortable. The height of the sunshades is what makes the difference in this stroller. (BTW, they work independent of one another and they also have a glare shield that extends out of the sunshade. I thought that was neat.) I put my friend's one year old in it and she fit like a dream. I wheeled them up and down the road and they were both very happy with it. And so is mom- a dream come true to find the right stroller!
I like the height of the sunshade giving my girl lots of room; I like the seats, as they are a little wider giving her plenty of room. There is a 5-point harness restraint, which is nice for little ones. The sunshades work independently of one another and there is a glare shield. They come with a boot to wrap around baby to keep her warm, but I live in sunny Florida, so I hardly think it will be used. It has a generic drink holder, but it kind of connects on loosely. I am not sure if I want to risk spilling stuff. There is no parent tray, but they tried to answer this with two zip pouches on the back of the sunshades. There are peek a boo windows so you can look down and see what naughty little girls are up to. It folds a little stiff, but I am sure this is because it is new. It fit in the trunk of my 2005 Camry with no problem. I even put it in wheels and handlebars to the front of the trunk and I have the rest of my trunk to use for groceries or whatever.
It is a little heavy, but it is a double stroller that fits compactly. I can't complain to much because I like the sturdiness and the width and height of it. Complaining about the weight of it is a little to demanding I think. No parent tray and an infant carrier cannot fit into it. But, I gave up putting an infant carrier into a stroller when I decided to go with a side by side.
All in all, the stroller seems great and I think we will get many happy miles out of it.
