Have you ever been to a Super Kmart before? Well we have one by us about 5 miles away near the highway that was put up a couple years ago. I had been to it last Christmas and it was a nightmare. I had to go there the other day though because I had seen some great Martha Stewart items and the Super Kmart is the only place that sells her line. I was only going to spend less than ten dollars on this venture but I really was interested in seeing what Martha Stewart had to offer.
Well let me just say that walking into my nearby Super Kmart is like walking into another world, and not a world that I would want to be a part of. There are people absolutely everywhere and there is so much disorganization that it is difficult to find anything. I finally found the Martha Stewart Section of the Super Kmart but it was also in shambles.
I wasn’t looking for a particular item, just something to pick up that I could treat myself to. When I do things in my life that I have a hard time with like leaving the house and stuff, I try to reward myself for doing so. Well for just walking into Super Kmart, I should have received a huge reward but that is a whole story unto itself.
I came upon these different dishes that Martha Stewart had that were all glass and each had a plastic lid in a mint green color. I found one that I liked for $5.99 called the Martha Stewart Everday 11-cup Refrigerator Dish. It was perfect for our lifestyle.
Almost every week I bake a batch of brownies for my sweet toothed fiancé, but always have to put them in Gladware and Tupperware so they stay soft. The Refrigerator Dish eliminated the issue by having a plastic lid that you could just cover the brownies in and they would remain fresh as ever. So after looking over all her other items, which I will be back to get a few more, we finally checked out and went home.
When we got home, I was ready to make up a batch of brownies and use my new Martha Stewart Everyday Refrigerator Dish. When I took off the plastic lid, I noticed that it was engraved with a Martha Stewart Logo and reminded you that it was microwave safe but no safe under the broiler or on top of the stove for use. The Martha Stewart Logo also is in the middle of the plastic lid but to me it isn’t tacky and doesn’t bother me.
When I peeled off the sticker there were instructions on the back side of it of how to use it. The Martha Stewart Everyday Refrigerator Dish is meant for only the oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe. The plastic lid is also dishwasher safe as long as you put it on the top rack. The glass is genuine Pyrex glass which doesn’t stain should you decide to make a small lasagna in it one night.
There are two warranties on the Martha Stewart Everyday Refrigerator Dish:
1) “Full 2 year warranty for Genuine Pyrex Glass Ovenware” Should your Glass Refrigerator Dish break in the oven, it will be replaced at no charge.
2) “Full 1 year warranty for parts and accessories” Any Non-glass part or accessory to the Refrigerator Dish will have a warranty should there be a defect.
There are also safety and usage instructions for you as well on how to properly use your Martha Stewart Everyday Refrigerator Dish. As you know from earlier, it holds 11 cups or 2.6 liters. The Martha Stewart Everyday Refrigerator Dish is a little over nine inches in length, almost eight inches in width, and 2 ˝ inches in depth. It is the perfect size for brownies or to make a shepherds pie in or lasagna. I love it. The seal of the plastic lid is tight and solid. The glass is thick and sturdy.
I used the Martha Stewart Everyday Refrigerator Dish that first day to make brownies and they came out delicious and stayed fresh for the 3 days they lasted. My fiancé loves brownies. I am very pleased with my purchase as I think economically Martha Stewart is extremely affordable and practicality it was perfect for my needs. This dish and lid themselves I think are also attractive and look nice on my counter.
