gwolanin's Full Review: Maytag NFW7200TW Front Load Washer
I bought this Amana [Maytag] washing machine last April from Home Depot. What a pleasant surprise and change going from a top loader to the front loader.
This washing machine is so quiet and gets the clothes very clean using minimal water.
It is very solid on the spin cycle and quiet. Spins the clothes so fast that the droplets of water can be heard hitting the inside sounds like tapping. I was extremely impress how dry the clothes come out to be put in the dryer.
We have significantly reduced our drying time in the dryer. Most of the clothes can be air dried for use the next morning.
The front panel is simple, which is exactly what I wanted. Perfect Hot/Hot -> Cold/Cold selections for wash temperature. My only gripe is the length of time it takes to balance the clothes when getting ready for the final spin cycle. Other than that, you put the clothes in, detergent, smelly crap, and bleach [if needed], all in their separate compartments. This washer allows for powder detergents too and has a fill indicator for how much to use.
Has adjustments for spin cycle, soiled type, and clothing type.
Maybe my comments for this washer also have something to do with it replacing a top loader that was 13 yrs old which needed a little help sometimes getting it's spin cycle started. ;)
