Pros: More fun than GT2 or GT3. Very challenging. Fantastic graphics.

The Bottom Line: Most fun, challenging and rewarding driving/racing game ever made.

| dino13's Full Review: Metropolis Street Racer for Dreamcast |
MSR is the most addicting and satisfying driving/racing game I've ever played..and I've played just about all of them.
With Grand Tourismo the frustation factor is through the roof. You are always sliding off the tracks when it seems you're going slow enough to make it. In MSR you don't nearly have this frustration. That's not to say that the game is easy, not by any means. You will find yourself replaying races over and over until you beat the target lap time, number of cars, average time, etc. only to find out you didn't achieve enough Kudos and have to do it all again, with more style! You're hands will sweat, your heart will race and you will jump for joy that you beat the race. It is extremely exciting. And there are 250 races to complete!! Expect to take about 1 month to finish this game completely if you play an average of 2 hours every night.
The graphics are incredible. Trafalgar Square in London is a work of art. I just wish they had some sort of free roaming camera than would allow you to zoom in and look around. It is really incredible. You won't believe the detail.
There is a little slowdown when there are 5 or more cars on the screen, but it does not detract from the fun or driving exerience too much. In some ways it helps you.
Saving the game can be a little tricky. You have to make sure you have enough free memory on you're VMU before you start playing. It won't prompt you. So if you have trouble make sure you free up space.
Make sure you play the game from the inside the car view.
The game may seem a little wierd, frustrating at first, but give it about 10 reaces or so and you will be addicted like a crack addict. (sorry if this offends, but its just awesome). If you are looking for an incredible driving, racing experience there is no need to spend $300 + $50 for an Xbox or PS2 yet. If you own a Dreamcast buy this game. I paid $10 new at Circuit City. Its a steal.
Thanks for reading.
