About a few years ago, Microsoft shocked the world when they announced they would enter into the video gaming industry. XBox, Microsoft's killer console, has been called the PS2 killer and rumor had it that XBox would dominate the game console world. But how will XBox fair against such high competitors?
XBox is one powerful system if you look at the stats compared to the other systems. The graphic engine inside the black box exceeds the PS2's graphics engine and functions in everyway. The XBox is capable of playing DVD, and a built in internet modem is a big plus to the XBox. Unlike the PS2, XBox will have accesories to buy but will not make it as outrageous as the PS2.
The biggest impact that excels the XBox system is the fact Microsoft is behind the system works. Microsoft, as you already know is the leader in computer technology and developes top of the line products. Seems XBox will be no different. Microsoft will not let their system die like the Sega dreamcast, and will put a lot of money making it a solid game system, but as you all know, it's the games that make the system. So far, XBox doesn't have a large arsenal of games like the growing PS2 and Nintendo, but that seems to be the only downside to the system. I'm sure as time moves on, more games will begin flying into the XBox system.
XBox has potential to be the best of the best, but it looks like XBox might not make it to be the best. To many people have come to trust Sony because they're a solid console company that houses some of the greatest games on earth. But overall, XBox is a system that is worth looking into because no one knows what will happen when XBox does arrive. With prices starting at $299.00, expect XBox to become a solid console system.
