Pros: Gives you temporary relief of cramps
Cons: odd side effects
The Bottom Line: It is not a miracle drug. To many side effects for me to handle. I was not satisfied with Midol.

Midol is a good way to get temporary relief of cramps, but that is about all it is good for.
I am 16 years old. I get the worst cramps, and believe me I take pain well. Ever since I first got my period when I was 13 I have experienced major cramps and headaches. I would become very ill. I would suffer from vomiting and upset stomach. I spent many days curled in a ball on the sofa. I missed over 20 days of school one year just because of cramps. I finally found Midol in the store one day and decided to try it. At first I was in awe of how well it worked, but about an hour later it had already worn off. The only thing that lasted was the side effects. I still felt the drowsiness, dizziness while at the same time anxiousness and restlessness for hours after the cramps came back. I was still getting ill, and my headache had not yet gone away. I looked to the box only to find that Acetaminophen in some cases may cause liver damage. I don't know about you, but when I see a warning like that, it makes me think twice about taking the risk of being the person that suffers liver damage.
I finally solved my cramp problem with some iron pills. My cramps are down to a minimum, and Ibuprofen does the rest.
I know that I may lack the experience of some of the older women but trust me, this drug is nothing special. It does not provide satisfactory relief, and it does not do anything that Ibuprofen cannot. Women that lived before us did fine with what they had. Why deal with the side effects if you do not have to. Let me know what you think.
