Ok I'm the biggest pessimist in the world. I bought this knowing it wouldn't work. I started it up the day I got it in mid-NOVEMBER and ran it for nearly 45 minutes. NOT ONE BUG! I was sure it wouldn't work. Last night I thought I'd give it one more try since I was getting eaten alive. I forgot about it and went to bed. The next morning I had to leave for work early and didn't realize I'd left it on till I was about 4 miles from home. When I got home tonight (about 8:00 PM) I went to go shut it off, I mean why waste propane. As I got closer I realized it was well after dark but there were hundreds of mosquitoes still out around the unit! I looked in the window and found that there is no way I was about to count that many mosquitoes. every inch was covered with them. Conservatively I'd say several hundred. Did I shut it off for the rest of the night? I don't think so, I ordered 2 more of them. Here's a clue. I paid $299 for the mosquito magnet liberty from an authorized dealer on e bay belowcostappliances. Just don't order them tonight, not till I get mine. thanks.
Ok, heres the update. (is it heres?, heres'? or here's? or does it matter?) Who cares, this is the point. I ran this device for 4 days and nights. At that point it was FULL. No more bugs could be eliminated. I threw the bag into a coffee can, put on the lid, and tossed it in the freezer to kill them. Where I Work we have little to do AND very accurate scales. A co-worker counted out 100 dead mosquitoes and weighed them. He then weighed all of the ones that had been caught. In 4 days the total was 9700 mosquitoes!
