jess_xox0's Full Review: Nars The Multiple Copacabana
The Story I have been on the hunt for a great highlighter for a long time. I'm skin is light (NC20 for those of you who speak "MAC Makeup") or somewhere between a 2-3 on a scale of 1-10 (1 being fairest and 10 being darkest). Especially since it is winter, my skin is a LOT lighter. I wanted to find a great, highlighter for daily use...Just something that can be swiped on the tops of my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose in a snap and I'm on my way....I had never tried the NARS Multiples....never had even researched on them. Now, I wish I had.
The Product NARS The Multiple in Copacobana. This product is a cream-stick highlighter in a shimmery white-beige color. It is meant to be used on eyes, cheeks and lips, just like all of the other "Multiple shades"
According to NARS, "The original multi-purpose stick for eyes, cheeks, lips and body. Its unique, creamy formula blends effortlessly to provide sheer color for creating shimmering accents, contours or dynamic highlights on all skin tones. Creates perfect, glowing complexions and is conveniently designed for failproof application"
The Claims The original multifunction color stickMistake-proof color; quick and easy to applySheer, natural finish for eyes, cheeks and lips The Ingredients Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Cetyl Dimethicone, Diisopropyl Dimer Dilinoleate, Propylene Glycol Laurate, Silica, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Candelilla Cera Wax (Euphorbia Cerifera), Ozokerite, Nylon 66, Octyldodecanol, Cetyl Palmitate, Tocopherol, Retinyl Palmitate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Propylparaben, Ascorbyl Palmitate, May Contain (+/-): Mica, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77491, 77492, 77499 (Iron Oxides), CI 77288 (Chromium Oxide Greens), CI 77007 (Ultramarines) The Experience -Beautiful color, not too much shimmer just the right amount -Glides on skin like butter, easy to blend -Looks good on bare skin but NOT over foundation (it made the foundation all caked up) -Looks beautiful on eyes...for about 30 seconds, then it creases (even with using a primer) -Too dry for lips, made them look dry and flaky
The Results I've gotta give NARS credit for trying to make a foolproof product for women on the go, but I just don't believe this is worth the huge $37US pricetag. It creases on the eyes incredibly fast so thats a no-no. On the lips it is very dry, so thats a no-no. And it looked beautiful on my bare skin but not overtop of makeup....it just didn't glide on as smoothly. So in reality, I would only have one use for it....and unfortunately it did not live up to its claims.
