I can honestly say that this was my first favorite beer. Its distinct flavor and pleasing aroma bring back good memories. Also, its carmel color and rich head only lend to the complexity of this fine brew.
It is always the first beer gone at parties and with good reason, its full body yet suprizingly sweet flavor with the sightly bitter aftertaste keeps you wanting more. Newcastle can also be described as having a nutty flavor which makes it good with most meals. It has a complexity like that of guiness, but with a lighter beer feel, therefore giving you the best of both worlds.
My only complaint is the price, going for around 8-10 dollars a six pack does not make it easy on your budget. However, this makes it that much more of a treat when you do get it. Overall newcastle is a "lighter" dark beer with the complexity of heavy beers resulting in a great overall ale that everybody can enjoy.
