| disartain's Full Review: No Mol Mole Traps |
I bought many plants last summer to adorn our somewhat necked yard. The plants seemed to be dying. I would go out and try to make sure the dirt was pressed around the roots and they didnt have any air pockets.
I noticed that there were little hills of dirt piled up in certain places leading to my rose bush. When looking at the lawn away from the rose bush it looked like a giant drunken worm had come up in spots displacing the dirt and leaving a pile of dirt on top of the ground. I managed to save all of my rose bushes except one.
I first thought these hills might be ant beds, but on closer inspection there were no ants. I would stomp the little hills with a lot of satisfaction hoping that what ever was in there was getting smashed. When I complained to the gadget man in the house he had few words.
Moles are what we have he said. Then he just moseyed on into the house and forgot about the problem.
I would go out and stomp the mounds of dirt when I could but that wasnt very often. It was the moles fault; I said when I looked at my broken ground.
I never knew what a mole was until about five years ago when my beloved cat would bring me gifts of these critters every night and after playing with them lay them at my feet. I still dont know how he managed to get the moles but I sure wish I still had the cat.
The Internet
I searched the internet for anything about moles I could find; there is a lot of information about moles and every kind of contraption you can think of to kill them.
I finally decided on a trap called No Mol Mole Traps. The information I gathered from other sites talking about moles were telling me that this was one of the best traps around.
I took the plunge and ordered a pack of four and just to make sure I had enough I ordered a pack of ten more, after all I didnt know how many moles I had.
The NO Mol Mole Traps
I took them out of the box. There were four traps that looked like metal clothes pins only longer and bigger and there was four ¼ inch dowels. The end of the trap has two prongs that are crossed over one another, {when opened it looks like a pair of prongs} the top looks like a triangle with a loop portion and a metal chain with a e looking ring.
The directions stink; I was very upset and read the directions three times. I took the trap and tried to open the trap by pressing the coiled end as the directions stated, when open the ring was supposed to go between the prongs and stay there.
I could not squeeze the coiled end enough that the prongs even moved. I tried and tried following the directions completely, nope could not open them.
I had my husband try to open one, I had not tried to set, to see if I just had a bum one. To my surprise as strong as his hands are he could only open it by using every bit of his strength. When he did get it open it was impossible to fix the ring so the prongs would stay open. The whole concept is ridiculous and dangerous. The box says Easy to Use which is a lie. Maybe a strong man or wrestler could open the trap and put the ring between the prongs.
Supposedly after I set the trap, I am supposed to have a dug out part of the mole run ready to put two traps in the ground. The traps are supposed to sit in the ground facing each other. The coiled ends have the dowels rods in them, and they stick up out of the ground about 1/8 of an inch so a lawn mower wont effect the traps.
I could never find anyone strong enough to set the traps, and when my husband could get prongs open it was impossible to set the ring between the prongs.
I will be buying more mole traps and I will continue reviewing them as I use them. Normally I would not give a url but the traps are hard to describe, and this url is simply the directions to set the traps, there is a picture of a man setting the trap. I noticed when I looked at the short video that this mans hands were very red while setting it and after he has set the trap look at how his hands look, you can tell by the redness that it is hard to set.

Even though I didnt kill any moles, I think it is important for people to know about this brand since it is not for the everyday person.
The mole traps cost 18.99 for four, and I ordered more so I paid a total of 68.00
Thanks for reading my review.
