| Cartman_2k's Full Review: Nokia 7100 Supernova Cell Phone |
I bought my Nokia 7110 about 2 months ago, because I was tired of my old Nokia 5110. Nokia 7110 was my first choice because it had Wap, and it had a lot of other great functions. I got home and put I charged it. It took 7 ½ hours, which is much quicker than what it took to charge my previous cell phones the first time. All its functions and the stuff it had amazed me. Here are the features, just so you can see how good it is:
PHONE BOOK A nifty little button (the one on top to the right.) takes you to this, and it is incredibly organized and easy to understand. You can also store all of the information you know about people on their profiles. (You get a profile for each number you have) And, you can actually store 1000 numbers if you like to! Better than most phones.
MESSAGES To write messages are easier than ever because of the incredible “dictionary”. You only press once at each button, and it fills out the word, so you don’t have to press the buttons until they get worn out. This phone can also store 60 messages, at the places you like them. You can, if you’d like to, make a lot of boxes, and in each box you can have different people. So, all the messages “Michael” send, you can have in a box called “Michael”. Nifty!
CALL REGISTER This shows how great the phone is, because it shows the ten last missed calls, received calls and dialed numbers. You can also see the duration of each call and how much they cost. Incredibly good register.
PROFILES You can choose how you want your phone to ring in different places! And, you don’t have to use the same ringing tone over and over again, because you have 35 ringing tones to choose from! They’re all very good, and with tones like Swan Lake and Tchaikovsky, it is all good. But, you can’t make your own ringing tones, though.
SETTINGS Choose whatever you want, language, automatic redial and stuff like that. It has a wider selection of things to do than most other phones, and much better too.
CALL DIVERT Divert calls to anyone you feel like. Organized and even a newbie at cellphones will understand this function.
GAMES No doubt the function I use the most on this phone, with four games to choose from. Snake 2 is entertaining, but I would rather see the original Snake, because it is funny, and it is much easier too. Rotation is hard, it’s all about rotating numbers so that they stand numerically. I don’t like it that much because it is too hard to finish (I have tried at least 100 times, and only 2 times have I finished it.), and it takes too much time.
Racket is like table tennis and it is very entertaining. It is better than any other game I have seen on any cell phone. It takes time, but you will be entertained every second. Opposite is just another word for Othello. But, be careful, you can risk playing this game all the time, and forget epinions! (It happened to me) It is good for all ages.
CALCULATOR To fulfill your every need!
CALENDAR This sure is a function you are going to use a lot! You can save all of the meetings you are going to, all the people that have birthdays and it beeps when it is time! Great if you have many people to buy presents to and your memory isn’t the best.
INFRARED What a nifty function. If Kristina is standing next to you with her Nokia 7110, and you have your Nokia 7110, she can actually send you a number straight to your phone! Great if you are going down the street and you see a hot male/female and you want them to have your number. They have to a phone that has Infrared of course, but if they do, they can receive your number!
SERVICES a.k.a. Internet. The WAP (Wireless Application Protocol, which makes it possible to have Internet on the phone.) is still in it’s early faze, so you don’t get much pleasure of it, yet. You can do things like pay the bills, but it is a very long way before you can get in on Epinions and other great sites. I don’t use it that much, because it is much more expensive than ordinary Internet, and it is much slower too. The phone handle WAP as good as possible , so if you have money and time, this is one of the functions you should use.
Positive and negative about the phone.
Positive *It has trendy design so you don’t have a phone that looks like it is from the early 90’s. *It’s standby time is impressive, and it lasts for at least 150 hours, if you are lucky, 250 hours. Or, you can talk for 3-4 hours! *The weight! 151 grams (Which is what in ounces?) So, it fits into every pocket. *Wap, someday it will be popular and much better! *All other functions, they are all great.
Negative *Not as good as Nokia 8200. *Not the ability to make your own ringing tones. *Many of them have “child-decease”, which can cause your phone to suddenly stop, and you have to take the battery off to get it to function again. *Does not have picture messages. *No Snake! (These are only minor things, so it does not have any flaws that are something to make a deal out of.)
This phone at least fulfills my every need, and it is way more than I could ask for. It fits for everyone, the busy executive and the stay at home mom. A great phone, go and buy it if you have the money!
