I hate the greasy feeling it leaves on my hands that makes me reach for a towel to wipe it off. I hate the strong fragrances that makes my eyes water, my head ache, and my skin burn. I hate spending good money on promises that get broken.
The lotions that aren't greasy feel like water that has been thickened up with "modified food starch" and then labelled "Moisturizing Lotion." Let me clue them in: its not!
About 13 years ago, my friend Kristie noticed the dry, cracked winter skin on the back of my hands.
She kept after me to use lotion on my hands. I told her that I would rather put up with it than try another lotion that didn't work for me. Most of the time I tried a new lotion I would end up washing it off because it either hurt my skin or felt unbearable.
Finally she got a tube of hand cream out of her purse and said, "Use it. Now. Trust me. It's not greasy. Just use a tiny bit of it."
Well, I DID trust her. So, I used some. Just a tiny bit.
It was incredible.
Imagine if you could take silk and turn it into hand cream. That is what it feels like on your skin. Not a bit of greasiness. I wouldn't be using it if there were.
And its super concentrated. VERY thick, so it doesn't have that watery feeling some lotions have.
It was a good thing that Kristie had me try hers instead of just telling me about it. I never would have given it a second thought once I saw the price.
At the discount stores it was over $3 a tube. Since you don't know me, I will have to tell you: I'm Cheap.
I don't pay more than $15 for a pair of shoes. Two dollars for a pound of boneless chicken is almost more than I can stand. So spending this much on a teensy tube of hand cream is not in my nature.
But, since I had tried it myself and I knew it was concentrated, I didn't hesitate too long to buy it. Besides, I knew Kristie was just as cheap as me, and she had deemed it worth the money.
SO, who should buy Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream?
