| VSP's Full Review: Origins Pinch Your Cheeks |
I once read a beauty profile in a magazine about a celebrity that uses Origins Pinch Your Cheeks. Since I discovered that I also use many of the same products she does, I thought I'd try it, and I so made my way to the Origins store in the mall.
When I was a pre-teen in pre-makeup days, I admit, I pinched my cheeks and bit my lip a few times to get that "healthy" rosy look...like I just came out of the cold weather. Like I was "in love." So I was curious to see how this Origins product would look on.
I was surprised that it was in such a tiny tube, like buying watercolor paint. It turns out that's OK, because the product goes a very long way. I brought it home and put a couple of drops on my fingers. It looked like "blood."
OK, I'm going back to days of Elizabeth I when she used blood to look beautiful, I thought. I applied it with two fingers to my cheeks, it was a huge smear at first, like Indian war paint. As I blended it in, it was looking better. Pretty rosy in fact. A come-hither look. Pretty good.
I was uncomfortable with three things, however: the red stains on my fingers; not knowing exactly how much I needed to apply; and the fact that it is a liquid formula. I had to wash up my hands, and when I came back, I debated putting on more, realizing if I did, I'd have to wash up again.
The overall effect works, my cheeks looked naturally rosy and healthy, but I don't know if it's worth the effort every time. The tiny tube can be useful for when traveling--compacts can be left at home.
