Another excellent meal

Pros: Excellent food quality,attentive service,lots of choices.Provides good value for the $$.
Cons: Pricey,especially in NYC.Extra charges for things that should be included with the steak.
The Bottom Line: If you want a very good-excellent meal that can be somewhat pricey,and don't mind the long waits at all but off-peak times then outback is your kind of place.

This re-review is for the Outback location in Brooklyn,NY. I had traveled to Brooklyn to do some shopping and see friends,and haven't had a good steak in quite some time. We walked in at 6:45 pm yesterday and were seated PROMPTLY-no wait at all.I noticed many empty tables and was quite surprised;but realized on a Friday evening in the holiday season many people don't want dinner that early.
The first thing we ordered were the Crab Cakes.They came 2 on a platter with a very tasty remoulade sauce.Dinner was a 9 oz sirloin steak for my friend,and a 12 oz sirloin for myself. Each comes with two "sides".Both steaks were delicious and had very very little fat. The "sides" we ordered were garlic mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes for my friend. I myself had the "mixed veggies" and the "wild rice".We each had a beer with our meal and again skipped dessert,as we were too full.On previous occasions,we have had the bloomin onion, cyclone pasta and the chocolate "thunder down under" cake.I highly recommend these dishes.
We both agreed that a good steak should include grilled onions and mushrooms.At outback these extras cost $4 each.
Our waitress was very good and attentive. Our total bill for 2 was $57 and we left a $10 cash tip.
