yippee1999's Full Review: Palm Treo 700wx Smartphone
Since I bought this (new) device about a year ago now, I have had nothing but weird issues with it. But before I get into those specifically, let me just say that before this device, I had a Blackberry. I was very happy with it until my company (for whatever reason) made us switch to Treos. In comparison, the Treo has just so many "bells and whistles", that it felt overwhelming. The BB seemed much simpler.
In any case, here are some examples of what I've encountered with this device:
- while in the middle of a phone call, the "clocks and alarms" page will appear in the screen display. I am unable to do anything further with the call (like answer a second incoming call, or switch to speakerphone mode) until I manually clear the "clocks and alarms" display from my screen. Why this happens to me often is beyond me. Clearly it can't be that I somehow accidentally tried to open the "clocks and alarms" page; this has happened far too often.
- the screen will randomly freeze up, displaying my Contacts. I have to actually turn the phone off and back on again to clear the display screen.
- In the middle of listening to voicemail, again, a random screen will pop up in the display. I am unable to save any messages, or repeat the playing of any messages, until I clear the random display that showed up.
- Even though I may have changed the time for an alarm, the alarm will still go off at the OLD time.
And that's just an example of SOME of the issues I've had. I had NO problems with my blackberry....
