I am 48 years old and I have been in pre-menopause since 39 1/2 years old. As a result, I have been fighting facial hair for years! And, yes! I hated the look it gave me on my chin and jawline. I was involved in a MVA, October of 2006 that has kept me on disability for the past several months and as you can guess, I am always looking for other ways to take care of this problem both financially and physically. Electrolysis is very expensive and only takes care of a small portion of the problem and requires many treatments.
I was torturing myself by having it waxed every two to three weeks as my budget would allow. And, YES! I wore the effects of it for an hour afterwards each time. My thought .... eventually the hair will stop growing as fast!
NOT! I would be lucky to go maybe a week before hair would come back and then I was back to the same thing! It just kills me to think I never looked for this wonderful epilator! I do mean WONDERFUL! I found this on HSN.com after I was referred to it by my friend who e-mailed me a link for three different styles.
So, I went out and looked at the different ones. One was sold out and the other wasn't that enticing. This one can be used wet or dry.
Cleaning this epilator is a snap! The instruction booklet that comes with it is very informative. Has "Before Use" instructions and talks about "Epilation and hair cycle" plus alot of other topics related to the use of this Epilator.
So, if you haven't figured out by now....I really have nothing bad to say about this item. It has been a life saver for me and my pocket book too!
I received it at the end of December and after charging it up, I have used it 3 times since!
To say it is painless....would be a lie! No pain...no gain! It is like using an electric razor but better! It doesn't hurt as much as I continue to use it. It pulls the hair out from the root. It leaves my face smoother and less red after use. I am getting less grown in hairs as well and I really like not getting them! So, I am not at all unhappy with the little pain I get versus the waxing. They are about the same!
Okay! So the Caution Instructions say! DO NOT USE ON FACIAL OR GENITAL areas. So where else would I have an abundance of overgrowth, eh?
I use it on my chin and jawline, despite what the instructions say, and don't have any extra redness as a result. Instead I have less using the epilator versus having it waxed.
