Pros: Price, quality, performance.
Cons: long cord - maybe the large cups could hold a retractable cord or something

I do not know what the other two "reviews" were expecting for $40CDN?You get headphones with a 40mm driver and a range of 10 Hz - 27000 kHz, blows away everything else in it's price range on store shelves now. And believe me, I only spent the 40 when I was okay with 30 and then saw the diff and said what the hell.
Most of us probably buy them after going through various inner, back and outer ear headphones and like me, will appreciate how they feel more like real headphones like back-in-the-day, plush-big 'phones. And yeah you can hear muffled sounds quite well through them if you are working in an office at low volumes. And believe me, it's a performer outside.
Muffled bass? I wonder about these things, what sort device are you using and how did you record the music? Do you know what an equalizer is and it's proper use? Hell you could be sony guys, bad-mouthing a modestly-priced great set of headphones - just like panasonic did with those great blue HP-RG20 headphones many of us found - another great price / performance set.
