Panther Martin Lures
I have been fishing with Panther Martin Lures for about twenty-five years. When I started fishing as a young boy, I had very little in my tackle box. If you were to look in my tackle box back then, you would have found; hooks, sinkers, a stringer, swivels, a knife, pliers, a rooster tail and several regular Panther Martin Spinning Lures. What I liked about the Panther Martins is that they would catch fish in rivers, creeks, lakes or ponds. Over the years I have caught nearly every species of fish in the Northwest using one Panther Martin Spinner or another. Although, I mainly use the Panther Martin spinners while fishing for trout, Ill occasionally use a Bullfrog Panther Martin when Im fishing for bass.
Over the last twenty years Panther Martin has developed quite an impressive line of lures. When I first started using their lures around 1980, there were only a couple sizes, as well as styles of the regular series. I remember my first Panther Martin lure was a yellow body, with red spots, and a silver spinner. Everyone had one in his or her tackle box. Now I have a whole tackle box full of just Panther Martin trout spinning lures, not to mention my growing collection of their rapidly expanding line of bass lures. Speaking of bass, there is a new fish attractant on the market called, Basswax. When used in conjunction with Panther Martin lures, has been working impressive for me! I use the crawdad scent when fishing for trout, and garlic or salty Chad when fishing for bass. The new fish attractant is called Basswax, check it out! Below I have compiled a short list of some of Panther Martins lures. I invite you to have a look at some of these time proven fishing lures and some of my most prized fishing lures.
►Regular Spinners
· Þ Black Zebra PMR-BZ - My favorite spinner in the regular series. This lure comes with a red body & yellow spots; the blade is black with gold streaks. This lure and I have had some great fishing in the smaller streams of Northern California.
· Gold PMR-G - An excellent trout spinner that has been around nearly 40 years.
· Silver PMR-S

►Spotted Spinners
· Þ Red PMSP-R - My favorite spinner in the spotted series. This old and reliable lure has also been around quite some time. The lure has a yellow body & red spots. The blade has a red blade with yellow spots.
· YELLOW / BLACK- PMSP-YB

►Holographic Spinners
· Þ Rainbow Trout PMH-RTH - This lure is my pick in the holographic series. This lure is painted the same color as a speckled trout. For whatever reason, this little lure does the trick. This line of painting on the lures is brand new. There were just three holographic panther Martin lures last year. This year they have added six more.
· Tiger Black PMH-TBK

►Fly Spinners
· Þ Gold & Brown PMRF-GBR - This lure is my pick in the fly series. I tend to use these lures in small streams. They are a small spinner just like any other panther Martin with one exception, there are flys tied onto the treble hooks. This particular lure has a gold body & red spots with a gold blade. The fly is brown with a red center.

►Deluxe Spinners
· Þ Gold PMD-G - This lure is my pick in the deluxe series. When this spinner came out around ten years ago, I liked the looks of it. This lure is solid gold in color and the body is shaped like a bullet, which differs, from panther Martins signature teardrop body design. This lure is one of my most used for trout fishing.
· Silver PMDS-S

My Final Thoughts on Panther Martin Lures
Panther Martin Lures have been around for some forty years. Their lines of fishing lures are solid and reliable. The simplicity of their spinner design makes for a long lasting and sturdy lure. Does the design work? You bet it works! I have caught my fair share of fish using many different styles and sizes of this great lure. Another thing that I really like about Panther Martin Lures is how versatile they are. You can cast a Panther Martin in any kind of body of water, and if theres something with gills in there, youll get a bite! I would recommend Panther Martin Lures to every trout fisherman out there. There are around 100 lures made by Panther Martin , these lures fall under one of around 20 series. This review just gives you some idea of the lures, and the several different series.
My personal favorite Panther Martin Lure is called a Fluorescent - PMRFL. This lure falls under the Wonder series. If youre after a trophy Rainbow trout, give this lure a try with some Basswax crawdad scent!
