I got this portable cd player for a Christmas present in '99. Not surprisingly, it is still in fine working condition. Users of this product will have nothing to complain about in terms of music quality. The sound quality is perfectly good - not fuzzy or tinny. Much like the quality on the average CD player.
This CD player has ESP (I think that stands for Eternal Shock Protection) so the sound quality won't suffer in a bumpy environment. This of course, eats up batteries.
The cushion on one side of my headphones (it comes with head phones) fell off making it uncomfortable to listen to with the provided headphones. This may be a one time thing, though.
Frankly, I don't see a reason NOT to buy this - unless of course you already have a portable CD player your happy with. But if you don't - I'd recommend this one all the way.
