Pros: It's cute, well-made, durable, inexpensive
Cons: My dog was too energetic for it
The Bottom Line: It does exactly what it advertises that it does and it is durable and attractive. I can't knock it because it didn't work for us.

| briandalsmom's Full Review: Pink Snoozer Buddy Pet Bicycle Basket Dog Bike 14l... |
I purchased this bicycle basket when my dog was a small pup. She was not supposed to get larger than 6 pound; unfortunately, she loved to eat so she quickly grew to about 11 pounds with about 6 inches of hair on top of that. Until she reached that size, the basket was quite comfortable for her, for me it was another matter.
Yes, it was easy to install on the bike, yes, it fit easily, but a wiggling 11 pound dog on the handle bars is a dangerous thing if you ask me! I purchased the pink one because I thought it was cute (it comes in gray also), because of the pink there was no way my husband would ride with her on his bike, so a new solution had to be found. It was about this time we got a second small dog so we upgraded to a trailer.
Again, this didnt work for us, but as far as bike baskets go if youve got the upper body strength and riding skills to handle a squirming dog this one is a great one. There are others on the market that are more expensive that look and feel cheaper and they dont have the rain and sun shield, a shoulder strap so you can use it to carry the pup around when youre reached your destination, and extra pockets for treats and accessories.
This one is also nicely padded and very comfortable for the pet and sturdy so it doesnt collapse down on her. Theres also a safety strap to attach your pets harness or collar to so she cant jump out. The overall dimensions of the basket are 16 inches long x 12 inches wide x 11 inches high, and it weighs 5 pounds.
Its rated for pets up to 14 pounds, but remember that 14 pounds is a misnomer a dogs size includes all of their bulk, which includes their hair for example. My pup had a tight fit and she was 11 pounds.
As with all dog equipment its always best to get her used to it before hitting to road. We let our pup play in it in the house and gave her treats and her favorite blanket in it. Once we strapped it to the bike we made sure to have her favorite blanket inside and showered her with positive reinforcement and treats again. Shes a nervous dog, so she did take a few tries before she really got comfortable so the first few rides were just around the block. Even so, she never stopped fidgeting in it and because she has Little Dog Syndrome she would try to lunge at every other dog on the trail which would nearly knock me off the bike.
Again, this wasnt the perfect solution for us because Im not a powerful enough rider and my pup is not well behaved enough, but the product itself is everything they advertised it to be.
