2) Along the same lines as "1", the 47Ai still shows traces of the chroma-upsampling bug - something which has been discussed, debated, publicized and by now, SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED. Clearly, this one bug will hinder 47Ai sales, at least until the bug is completely solved, which hopefully will be soon. It is believed that the unit will soon have a free upgrade available from Pioneer which will solve the problem for good
Since I am about to receive my player in the mail, how would I recognize this "chroma-upsampling bug" and how do I know if my player has been an upgraded version?
Plus, where can I find info on this free upgrade? I looked at Pioneerelectronics.com, and I didn't see anything
Any help would be great.

See prices on Denon's new 5900.... you'll start to think of 550 as VERY affordable... (grumble).... I say this as I'm about to possibly upgrade!! EEEK!

I just ordered this player because of an amazing review in Sound & Vision magazine. I can't believe you consider this DVD player affordable, I got it for $550, and I'm afraid to tell my wife
