seal-c's Full Review: Pioneer TS-W2541C Car Subwoofer
I got these subwoofers, because my system lacked serious bass. I don't understand why Pioneer woofers aren't on the "best of" list but they are truely underrated. These babies are also sold under the Premier TS-W1041C moniker. With a maximum RMS rating of 350 watts and 700 watts peak, you'll have more than enough boom for your car. I have two of these 10"s in a sealed box (everyone seems to recommend sealed boxes for these), powered by a MTX 4250D (see my review). The MTX can supply a maximum of 350 watts to these two. I'm powering them at half of their capacity. I could get a bigger amp, but I am not one of these bass fanatics that drives around with only bass coming out of their car. I like having a balance between my highs, mids, and bass. I don't want one aspect drowning out the others. If I did, I would have gotten 12"s. Still, at 350 watts these babies pound. You can't hear me from three blocks away, but you can hear me! If you are one of these bass fanatics, get a more powerful amp.
The speakers have some kind of aluminum center cap that looks like a short spike. They also come in a sleek black. The foamed IMPP cone seems very strong and durable, kinda like a thick plastic. It seems more durable than some of the material I've seen on other woofers. Like I said, these woofers sound a lot better than Alpines and other top-selling brands.
I bought these at a local store for $200.00 for a pair and a box. They are also available in 12"s and with Dual Voice Coils. I highly recommend you check them out.
