| KelliandJoseph's Full Review: Pro Plan Puppy Lamb & Rice Formula 20lb Bag |
Our dog Levi loves ProPlan Lamb and Rice with REAL LAMB as the #1 ingredient, and NO ADDED artificial flavors or colors! It is recommended for puppies up to age 2.
WHAT IS PROPLAN? ProPlan is a Small and Large Breed Dog Food that is nutritious for our dog! The Pro Plan line of dog foods is specially formulated with protein to fat ratios that are scientifically calculated based on the calories from protein needed for a dog's current life stage and the breeds average size.
WHY WE USE PROPLAN? When we first got our dog he was only a few months old, and from the start he seemed to have digesting problems with his food. The Eukenuba made him have to go potty all the time, the Science Diet made him just the opposite so he never needed to go & he got gas very bad all the time (he ended up very ill). Then we were told was a veterinary supply storeowner to try the ProPlan. Our dog Levi loved it instantly and he seemed to not have any more problems. Since then, about 6 months now, we have kept him on ProPlan Dry Food.
HOW DID WE SWITCH OUR PUPPY? We switched our dog to ProPlan from another dog food, by using the transition plan that ProPlan recommends, which is allowing 7 to 10 days for the transition. Each day, we fed him more ProPlan and less of the previous food, until we were feeding ProPlan exclusively.
WHERE DO WE GET IT? We get 20 lb. bags of the Dry ProPlan for $ 20.99 at our local veterinary supply store. At this time Levi is just over a year old. We feed him about 2 1/2 cups of this food each day as per the package guidelines. With this amount of food each day, a 20 lb. bag lasts us about a month. If you don't have a veterinary supply store near you, you can get it at Petco.
WHERE IS IT MADE? ProPlan Dog Food is made by Purina in the U.S.A.
