I share a lot of the same opinion here... (Reply to this comment)

For propel, if it is on sale cheap I will pick it up for a few reasons. One is that it tastes all right as a substitute for normal water normally. BUT this is NOT something I can drink with a work-out, or after I have exercised, because it tends to give me heartburn. Go Figure.

I Got Mine For (Reply to this comment)
by JMB623
free because they had a couple of kids standing on the corner of Market St. & South Van Ness Ave. (San Francisco) handing it out. I got the berry, and didn't think its taste was too bad, but after seeing those futuristic commercials for it, I did think it was sort of gimmicky. I see it being used by skinny women in Beverly Hills with sunglasses on their heads driving the MBZ 600 SL to their celebrity workout place. I did reuse the bottle a couple of times, then my 5-year old copped it. Good review. Joel (jmb623).

I don't think it's totally natural, but not sure what to call it. :-) A more safe alternative to other sugar substitutes, I guess. Excellent review as usual. I never knew getting bloated was fatal!

While the packaging sounds "groovy" guess I won't waste my money on this product. No point in spending money on "cute", when I'd rather track down a product that is truly useful. Thanks for the head's up!

The best thing I got out of my one and only bottle of Propel was...the bottle! I continually use the bottle. The water - blackberry - was ick! Had that awful aftertaste! Nice job :o)

Cal, yes I have been aware that there is new research that we can drink TOO much water. I think that for "us" a gallon a day isn't too much, but for the average 8 glasses is still what is recommended (6-8). I know people who drink 2 gallons and I think that is going over the limit with the research, though I don't have it in front of me and since we are about to go to a 4th of July parade in spite of it being 88 degrees at 9:00am est, I don't have the time now. If anyone would like water research :) let me know and I'll be glad to do it for you. jo

I enjoyed reading your review and really liked your comparisons. Did you the new study about drinking too much water? According to a new report published in the journal Military Medicine, drinking too much water can actually lead to a coma and death. First we are told that we need to drink more water, no this report? Anyway, I don't want to float off into one of my wild tangents, you've written another solid review.

...I tried a bottle of this stuff awhile back and thought it was nasty and have never bought one since. I'd rather drink Gatorade. If you want vitamins, take a pill! I'm with Jo on this one...save your money!

One of my ladies has this. (Reply to this comment)

She is going to be 90 on Saturday and we are having a big party for her. She is unable to have solids, so the family asked me to give her Propel. It seems to be working just fine.
Great review as always.

What will they think of next?? (Reply to this comment)

Since I am lucky enough to live in an area where the taste of our tap water is more than tolerable, I usually just refill an old water bottle instead of purchasing more.
I'm cheap and rarely buy water anyway, but I have been curious about this Propel Fitness Water for the taste. Maybe one of these days I'll try it, but for now I'm not in a big hurry.
Great review as always, Jo!
