jlower83's Full Review: Reckitt Benckiser Lysol Sanitizing Wipes Citrus 70...
It’s the time of year where the cold and flu are prevalent. I have used Lysol products before to kill germs but I felt like I needed something to disinfect surfaces. The spray that I have liked isn’t the best fit for spraying on appliances so I tried out the Lysol Disinfecting Wipes.
Product: This product includes 80 wipes. It comes in a 1.9 pound plastic canister with a pop up release to lock in the moisture. The release also allows for you to get one wipe at a time with a perforated edge for easy tearing. The scent is citrus which smells clean and fresh to eliminate odors.
The wet wipes are 7” by 8” and are disposable. They are of a cloth material like micro fiber with some texture. The wipes are durable and they lift up dirt instead of trapping it. The wipes are pre-moistened which makes these wipes convenient and easy to use. It eliminates the need for a sponge or bottle. The wipes are moist but aren’t too wet.
Best Use: I have found it best to clean the surface area first to get the major dirt. Afterwards, you use the pre-moistened Lysol Disinfecting wipe to kill the germs. Lysol claims like most of its other products that it will kill 99.9% of germs when used properly. The dirt types that it is meant to kill are bactericidal, fungicidal, germicidal, and virucidal. These wipes should be used on non-porous surfaces like appliances, counters, floors, toilets, and garbage cans. Some other places that these work well on are telephones, toilet seats, walls, storage areas, and non wood chairs.
All you need to do to use is wipe the surface and let the surface remain wet for several minutes. The surface should be left to air dry and once done, simply throw the dirty wipes away. After disposing of the wipes, make sure to make sure the lid is closed. With the lid closed, it keeps all of the wipes moistened for future use. It is simple and easy to use. I found it easy to just leave the canister sitting in a common area near the bathroom or the kitchen for easy use.
Other Helpful Info: The ingredients include dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides and alkyl. These wipes come in two different scents: Citrus scent and also Spring Waterfall scent. They come in three sizes: 35 count, 80 count, and 110 count.
The cost is economical for this product and it is worth disinfecting the germs around your home. A 35 count can cost around $3-$5, an 80 count is around $5-$6, and the large 110 count is around $10-$12
Overall: I have been very pleased with the Lysol Disinfecting Wipes. I use them to supplement my regular cleaning for the disinfectant and odor killing purposes. It leaves surfaces feeling clean and fresh. It is such a quick and convenient way of making sure your home is free from germs.
