Robert T. Kiyosaki and Sharon L. Lechter - Rich Dad Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money-That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!
There are MUCH better books to read for learning about money, life and investing.

Product Rating:
Pros: Kiyosaki does seem to be good at motivating people.
Cons: Fiction presented as non-fiction, with dubious and conflicting advice.
The Bottom Line: There are too many superior books out there for me to believe that books is worth reading for those who truly want to improve their life and finances.
Peteer01's Full Review: Robert T. Kiyosaki and Sharon L. Lechter - Rich Da...
First off, if you are a novice at handling your finances, investments or career, and are thinking to buy/read this book to improve your knowledge and understanding, there are quite a few books out there that would be better suited for almost all of you.
If you want a book that has tried and true advice with advice that has been valid for thousands of years, start with "The Richest Man in Babylon" (1926). It's underlying messages about finances and life were true thousands of years ago, were true in 1926, and are true now.

If you were thinking of picking up this book because you've already decided to save money, but now you want to figure out how to take that money and "make it work for you" (paraphrasing Kiyosaki), a book that will give you a great introduction to the stock market and investing in general, which I highly suggest, is "The Little Book That Beats the Market".
In addition to having more detailed advice, which is lacking in "Rich Dad, Poor Dad", you won't have to worry about lies or contradictory statements in those books.
As someone else has already done their research on Kiyosaki better than I could, I will simply link to his analysis of "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" here:

If you still want to consider buying/reading this piece of fiction, please do yourself the favor of making sure you've read John T. Reed's analysis first. Contrary to what Kiyosaki might tell you, education is a good thing...
