| sojournseeker's Full Review: Ricola Natural Herb Throat Drops Honey Lemon With ... |
Switzerland being bountiful, neutral, full of luscious flora and too far to travel and just pick this ourselves; one does not expect anything less than near perfection for irritated esophagus and epiglottises. When I am miserable and my throat is raw and parched, green tea helps but I want to bathe and coat the rawness. This particular throat drop with a cough suppressant mixed right is a small saviour.
This cough suppressant throat drop is dingy-yellow in color, infused with not just drop a small portion over the already dried hardened ‘candy’but cooked right in with 3.5mg of menthol added for the purpose of cooling, soothing, breaking up mucous pain relief from oral swelling and irritation and most of all coating that which cannot be massaged by hand from the inside.
This wonderful homeopathic remedy is delivered from Switzerland by a company called Ricola and I am glad that many of the local drugstores, grocery store chains and even my trusty Walmart, Walgreens and K-Mart, carry this needed remedy. Heck now I even find the same packaged Ricola at my dollar stores dotted all over northeast Ohio. The price varies but the quality does not. My sore throats are rare but when I have one, this is my first choice for value and relief.
The lozenge (throat drop, cough drop even though this one suppresses) is easily dissolved on the tongue, is dispersed quickly into mucous membranes where the tiniest of capillaries absorb the healing properties, and start to help heal the irritated tissue. The added bonus of a natural immune-booster and ‘flu-symptom ward-offer’, the natural Echinacea is a medicinal plant. Both the roots and leaves of this medical-treat is used to boost the immune system and provide resistance to most common allergens and cold irritants. Taken as directed, the liquid runs down the throat, bathes the sore epiglottis and esophageal alimentary canal, making swallowing and talking less uncomfortable.
When I worked for an otolaryngologist, (this is an ear nose and throat specialist) I had the opportunity both wonderful and heart-breaking to discover justhow traumatic a swollen epiglottis (1) really is. This partition, piece of tissue, is a closing over the gap into the beginning of the alimentary canal used for swallowing food. It is the top or ‘lid’ created from elastic cartilage tissue covered with mucous membrane. When this gets irritated, it is very painful for some. I would recommend these drops to them because of the no contraindication scare of mixing synthetics with naturals. Echinacea is versatile and hearty, so it is safe.
Many patients we saw in the office, mistook that thing for the uvula which hangs at the back of the throat, it is not. This separates the food alimentary canal from the airway breathing canal. When this is sore from irritants in the air, smoking specifically inhaling, singing, screaming and drinking or eating foods that are hot temperature-wise constantly--a person is asking for something to relieve this, soon.
Nothing could be better than sipping green tea, sucking on a throat drop and sitting in a hot tub with tea tree oil to get the best of better, but if you can’t have all that at least you will experience bathing, coating your throat with liquid relief ! What I like most about the packaging is that it leaves little to the imagination or speculation of non-authenticity: it says what it is.
A natural honey-lemon cough or throat drop that infused with essential oils not just artificially flavored. Natural honey and powdered Echinacea spilled out of a capsule can also be made but your not looking into taste when its homemade, that lacks something, Ricola does not lack anything. Taste, pain relieving properties, cost-effective and very easy to locate in many stores across the world.
I highly recommend this product and encourage buying loads of it, the shelf life and effectiveness is hearty so don’t worry about bags of it. Besides honey-lemon, it can also be found in cherry and berry assortments. All are delicious and healthy so feel that rawness coming on, trek over to the store and get some of these.
24 drops approximately $1.98 to as much as $8.00 per package, depending where you shop for these items. Most value is your convenient WalMart, Walgreens, K-Mart, CVS Pharmacy and any Dollar Store across America. Of course your local grocery chain store carries it also, in the Natural Medicines aisle or Natural Care or something having to do with oral and nasal care.
