My biggest surprise for Christmas was receiving the Roomba FloorVac from my loving husband. He paid $164.90 with free shipping sent directly to our home.
The only assembly needed was inserting battery pack and brushes. It has been the talk of any conversation in our home when company comes over. Roomba has become a circus act with everyone. Anyone who comes wants to see a demonstration of its abilities. It really is an sight to see. Just use the remote or manually turn on the power and choose whether to spot clean, max clean or just plain clean. Then sit back and let it do its thing. My dogs get rowdy and frightened but realizes that all their fur is lifted up from the rugs and floors very easily.
It takes little space, cost little in comparison to regular vacuums and is really easy to use. It is very attractive and not an eye sore. It's not a miracle item but it does the job and lets me get other things done at the same time.
ONLY drawback is that the corners are hard for it to clean properly. It really tries and keeps trying but the rounded edges makes it impossible to do a complete job. Outside of that, the whole room looks great and my back doesn't hurt so much anymore since I don't have to bend to clean under the beds or couches.
Now if it could also do windows and iron clothes- I would be in heaven!
