Since it was difficult to find any buying advice for Mac users regarding these speakers, I was concerned about Mac compatibility. The box in the store said Mac compatible, yet all the pricewatching sites said PC only, and the manufacturer's website said nothing either way. Anyway, Mac users, have no fear-- this product works great with the Mac, and though setup looks a bit more intimidating than the little Labtecs I gave up in favor of these, but setup is actually just as easy. Just be sure to place the satellites as high as the cords will reach after placing the subwoofer on the floor or bottom shelf.
I bought these at Staples just because their local here and I wanted an easy return if I needed to bring these back. Staples, by the way, has a pricematch policy, and I used Amazon's price for the pricematch (though that wasn't the lowest price) because I'm aware of Amazon's quality customer service. I didn't want any differences for Staples to object to when I requested a pricematch.
So I paid eighty dollars at first and got a credit later. Awesome!
