| My3LilMen's Full Review: Safety 1st 3 Level Booster Seat |
My husband and I have never purchased a Booster Seat till now. We had purchased one of those high chairs that doubles as a table chair with the removable tray with our first child and used it in one form or another with our other two children till they were able to sit at the table with us. Normally this would be with them sitting in the high chair but without the tray using the table to eat on. Well, that high chair has been through three boys and it had seen its last days. We had to discard it and buy a booster seat. Our son, Dakota just turned two and he is just as "big" as my 3.5 and almost 6 year old boys. Least that is what he thinks anyway Shhhh... don't tell him otherwise please!
I purchased the Safety 1st 3 Level Booster Seat this past weekend. I must add that the picture on the product page seems to have a slight different appearance but the name is the very same. This could be because the company has just changed the design of the product or maybe there are two different ones actually. Word for Word the product I own is called the Saftey 1st Adjustable 3 Level Booster Seat.
Now that you know why we bought the booster seat please allow me to share with you the price, approval stamp of my son as well as the features.
The Shocking Price
I also took notice that the price listed on the main page is not the same as the price I paid for Dakota's booster seat. The price indicated on the main page here is $29.95. The price I paid was a whopping $9.95. Yes, that is all I paid. I was shocked and personally figured I would have to pay at the minimum of $20.00 for a booster seat. I sure was one pleased consumer.
What the Big Boy Thought
This is one product that does not take long ownership to be able to tell you just what a great deal it is. Immediately Dakota decided he no longer wanted anything to do with his high chair he had inherited from his two big brothers. He gladly gave up the worn high chair because he wanted to sit in a big chair like Daddy, Mommy, Dusty and Dillion. Now he was A Big Boy.
Features
The Safety 1st 3 Level Booster Seat has an easy-grip handle for ease in carrying and moving it around. The seat is bucket seat shaped for your child's comfort. You slide the seat out of one level easily into the next for height adjustment. This feature is a plus for grandparents with young but different size children that need a lil boost at the table. You can adjust it quickly and simply by just pulling it out of one level and placing it into another. Do not worry it does not just slide out while your child is sitting. The back of the seat is high enough to give your child saftey and comfort and there are rubber feet on the bottom of the seat for security measures. For added safety you will find that there is a restraining belt that comes from the bottom of the booster seat and wraps under the adult chair and buckles. Your child will not be able to reach this while sitting but could un fasten it while out of the seat. You may want to make sure the booster is still secure in the chair before seating them. This booster does not fold up to be put away but if you traveling you may pull the seat away from the base to make the product a little more manageable in packing. It is also very easily cleaned with your choice of antibacterial cleaner and paper towel. Wipe and let dry. Now doesn't that sound like less aggravation than the high chair with all the nuts and crannies you have to wipe in and the tray you have to clean (above, under and on the sides).
Who should you buy this Booster Seat For?
This product is a must have for small children that are big enough to sit at the table without a high chair for assistance but too short to reach his/her plate without propping themselves on their knees. This is the ideal seat for grandparents to purchase for their small grandchildren. It is only meant for use on a 4-leg chair so please do not even consider that bar stool or bench. It is not meant for a rocking chair or pedestal chair. The seat is intended for children that weigh less than 65 lbs.
Great Buy
This is a great buy considering the features of the product for the price. I doubt that you will be able to buy a better booster seat for the price. I only wish that we had bought one long ago and not with our last child. It is certain to get its money worth however, even with one child. If you are unable to locate one in your area call the manufacture (Safety 1st) at 1-800-723-3065.
