bradshawcl's Full Review: Screen Protector Film for LG Versa VX9600
When purchasing my new phone a few months ago over at the Verizon Wireless store, I also got a box of 3 film protectors for my LG Versa. I believe these were $9.99 there, but shop around online and you could probably find a pretty good deal (I'd suggest ebay).
What this is basically is a sheet of clear plastic that goes over the face of your phone. Since the LG Versa is a touchscreen phone, it sees a lot more action than the normal screen does. I got this to keep my screen from getting banged up and scratched from daily use.
First off, you need to make sure your phone is clean before putting this on, and start at the top and roll this down the screen like you would when putting fondant over a cake, to make sure you don't get bubbles when putting this on. Sort of roll it out like rolling out dough. Be sure to take your time with this or you could one, annoy yourself to the point you give up on it, or two, tear the cover up in the process. I find it's easiest to line up the cover at the top where it has a speaker cutout and work my way downward.
Once you get it on, you're pretty much home free. I have had mine on now 4 months now and the only problem I have had is on a corner where the rubber phone case I have sort of rubs it. I wouldn't suggest using these unless you do have some sort of phone case, because they could come off the corners way too easily without a case. With a case there are no exposed corners.
Not only does this protect against scratches, but also, makeup, fingerprints, skin oil, and stuff that could rub up against it in your purse or pocket that might scratch it.
Overall, I would recommend these despite the tediousness of getting them on. They are well worth the price and trouble to protect your expensive phone. They last a long time as well and don't leave behind a sticky mess on the phone's face once you do take them off.
