The Bottom Line: Tis is a good unit, but you should go with the one youor dsl vendor recommends.

I was shipped the Siemens Slipstream 4100 DSK modem/routerwhen I changed my DSL from the over-priced poorly supported Anet to SBC Yahoo/ATT. ATT charged me $50 for the modem but included a rebate coupon so that I could get the whole amount back. I did pay around $10 for shipping.
Set up was very easy. The previous dsl modem was already working with my D-Link wireless router. All I had to do was plug the cables in. This unit connects to the DSL source and the wireless router. The wireless router connects to the PC.
This unit recognized the connection right away, as did the wireless router. All I had to do was power it on.
There are green LED indicators to for Power, ethernet and DSL which shows that it is connected. There is another LED for internet which is hardly ever on and another LED for activity, which flashes during an internet page refresh or visit.
It's worked consistently well. I've opnly has a couple of connection problems since I got it and those were easily resolved through powering down the modem and rebooting it.
This unit has worked well. I hope it does so for years to come, as I am happy with my current dsl arrangement and connection configuration.
This unit isn't readily available for sale on the net. Generally DSL modem/routers are included in a new DSL account. The providers have to find compatible equipment that works consistently, so I recommend going with the unit that the vendor provides. I'm glad SBC/ATT provided this unit.
