Pros: Firm and solid but the top cushioning is very soft.
Cons: None except for the complaint about the store we bought it from.
The Bottom Line: Well made. Firm but has a very soft cushion top. A lot thicker then our old mattress.

It was time for us to get a new mattress. Our old one was seeing it's last days. The springs were coming through.
Our old one was an Englander.
When I seen this one it looked nice and felt nice. Nice and firm. Well made. Said it had Back Guard, something we had been having problems with lately. Plus it was on sale.
This one you do not flip over. This mattress is built with a new single-side design. It does not have to be flipped to maintain warranty protection. Body impressions are a normal part of this premium mattress and the comfort level is conformed to your body. Body Impression of 1 1/2 inch or less in normal and not a manufactory Defect. It is called The Simmons Back Guard, Alameda Luxury
When the mattress is bought the foundation has to be bought with it. The foundation is made for this mattress. Warranty would not cover the mattress if you use another foundation.
When the store had it delivered I couldn't believe how much thicker it was then our old one. Our old one was around six inches deep. This one is at least ten inches. The thick cushioning on top feels great. When you are on it, it is solid, and firm but soft.
We had a little hard time getting use to it the first night, but after that night I can't wait to go to bed. The top cushioning is so soft.
No back problems now.
Simmons makes a great mattress. Whether it is a thousand dollar mattress or one of the cheater ones.
The mattress has a Limited Warranty. On the Law Label on the mattress you will find a code which will tell you the coverage you have on your mattress. It is recommended not to remove this label for further use to know what your warranty is.
Mine has a B2 Code. The coverage for my mattress is ten years Total Warranty and a First five years Period for no Charge Except Transportation. Calculations of Charges for Repairs or Replacement applicable no-charge period is 1/10 of the current retail price times number of years of use.
One thing I'm not happy about is the store we bought it from. Big Sandy. When they delivered our new mattress they were to take our old one away. They said we were their first stop and didn't have room at that time to take our old one. They would be back later that same day or if it was running later they would be back on Tuesday. They delivered our new one on Saturday.
Now it is Thursday and they still have not come back for our old one. We have called them every day about this. All they will say is we will check into it. Other wise we are very happy with our new Simmons.

After several calls to the store they finally came to get my old bedding. One week after I bought the mattress.
Would I still shop at Big Sandy? Yes!!
Big Sandy has a lot of everything in their store. Great prices. Great Quality!!
