I was always told that it is best to sleep on a rock hard mattress. Though I didn't like this suggestion, I followed it religiously for health reasons. When my extra-firm Sears mattress began to dip in the middle, causing me to toss and turn at night, I decided to go mattress shopping once again.
For the first time, I went to a shop specializing in mattresses. When I explained that I wanted a firm but comfortable mattress, the salesman took me right over to the Simmons Backcare Ultimate. All I had to do was lay down on it and I was in heaven. My concern was that it was too comfortable to be fully supportive. When the man showed me how the coils differed in resistance at various parts of your body, it made sense. Your body curves where most mattresses don't, leaving you with a sore lower back, a tense neck, etc. This mattress custom fits your body's curves, supporting you at different levels based on where you need it. Furthermore, though you feel firmly supported, you also receive the extra comfort of a pillowtop.
I've had this mattress for about a year now and it has yet to fail me in any way. It is still firm in support, the pillowtop is still fluffy, and there are no "dips". I've found that I toss and turn less because of the comfort and therefore am able to get a more sound night's sleep. Whether you sleep on your back, stomach or side, this is the mattress that delivers the ultimate in comfort and support!
